Responsibilities (projects completed, tasks assigned, etc.):
With SFA, I underwent Title IV Federal Student Aid training to learn about how Federal Student Aid works, shadowed student workers (who field tens of thousands of calls and walk-in questions per year from students and parents) and financial aid administrators, and worked on a number of special projects. These included reviewing and providing feedback on the training documents for new financial aid administrators, researching best practices for the addition of a "Loan Repayment Resources" page onto the SFA webpage, reviewing and creating an assessment for a program put on by SFA and Student Money Management called "Choose Your Financial Future!", and sit in on a scholarship committee meeting where a new endowed scholarship was awarded to a cohort of incoming students. Other projects are available based on interests/skills of any future practicum student.
